Tournament Structure

TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE OVERVIEW

  1. Games are 3 on 3 games with max 4 person teams (no goalies).

  2. Rinks measure approx. 140 x 75 feet.

  3. Goals are 6 feet in width.

  4. In true pond fashion, the ice will be shoveled by the two opposing teams prior to game start.

  5. Games consist of two 10-minute halves with a 2-minute break.

  6. Each team will be guaranteed 2 games on Saturday.  The Championship will be a single elimination tournament played on Sunday. .

GAME TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURES

If at the end of regulation two teams are tied, they will play a 3-minute sudden death overtime. If at the end of the 3-minute overtime no goals have been scored, there will be a 2-minute sudden death overtime.  If at the end of overtime play no goals have been scored, the winner will be determined by a coin toss. The home team (team 1) will call the toss.

3 Points for a Win
0 Points for a Loss

Ties in standings will be broken by highest total number of goals for followed by goal differential.

CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING

Open Division
10 teams – 5 teams will advance

The top team from each pool (plus 16 wild card teams: calculated by most points, ties in point total are broken by highest total number of goals scored followed by goal differential) will advance to the championship round.

**We reserve the right to change the number of teams/pools/wild cards in each division. The game guarantees and a minimum of 2 wildcards per division (excluding Sled) will not change.**
